Check out my review of the book 'Cleo' by Helen Brown.
FlutterbyBooks: Cleo by Helen Brown: As a cat lover I knew I would like this book before I even started it as I love reading about any animals, especially cats. Having two ca...
Everyone who thinks their cat deserves an Oscar - put your paws up!
I don't know about you, but I adore my cats. Totally. They are so much more than pets, they are my friends, part of the family, and sometimes the only thing that can put a smile on my face.
And that's why I'm really happy that there is such a thing as The Cats Protection 'National Cat Awards 2012'.
It is a national award where ANYONE can nominate ANY cat to win their very own award - a feline Oscar if you will!
There are four categories that cats can be entered into:
Hero Cat – Cats that save the day!
Best Friends – Where best feline friends have radically improved the quality of human life.
Most Incredible Story – Belief-defying, true stories from the cat world.
You can also nominate a cat who has been in the public eye, for the Celebrity Cat category. Just pop onto the Cats Protection Facebook page and tell them your suggestions (the most popular will be added to a poll in order for the public to vote) - Now obviously you can make up your own mind, but personally I'm thinking the fantastic 'StreetCat Bob' is purrrfectly deserving of this award! =^''^=
So we finally get a chance to honour how important our cats are to us. Nominate your cat now; because we all believe our cats are superstars - and now we get to let the nation see why!
You have until Thursday 31st May 2012 to enter. Ready, steady, vote!
By the way, did I mention the winner receives their very own trophy AND a three month supply of cat food. Whoop!!
Thought I would have a little sort through the cats toys and maybe throw out some that they never play with anymore. It wasn't until I got them all together in one pile that I realised how many we have!
The chewed and broken ones got thrown away, but the rest have stayed.
(And it doesn't stop me buying more every chance I get!)
Today we bought some Catnip Bubbles from Pets at Home (£2.99). Being a lover of catnip Anabelle loved them, jumping around chatting at them and popping every bubble I blew. Hugo was less enthusiastic, but then again, he's not a fan of catnip. It's a good sized tub, don't think we'll ever run out of bubbles again!
Anabelle's favourite ever toy has to be the 3-in-1 Cheese Chase:
We bought this over a year ago, and I still walk into the room to find her playing with it. And despite all her wear and tear it still looks brand new. The top part of great for hiding treats in too. I would definately recommend this one: well worth spending £8.99 for a happy cat!
Likes: Eating, chasing string, sleeping, sitting in the sink or on the microwave, stairs, licking kitchen utensils, drinking cat milk. And did I mention eating?
Dislikes: Cat vitamins, the sound of the intercom and being hungry.
